HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS

We have arranged for a block of rooms at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, the host hotel for the conference. The conference rate is $152.00 per night, plus 15.5 percent tax. The cutoff date to make reservations at the conference rate is 5:00 p.m., EDT on Monday, July 3, 2017.

Early Departure
All guests must confirm their departure date at check-in. If a guest departs earlier than the date confirmed at check-in, an early departure fee ($152.00, plus 15.percent tax) will be charged to the guest.

Reservation Cancellation Policy
Reservations may be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to check-in without penalty. Any cancellation made within 48 hours of check-in may incur a one night’s room and tax penalty. In the event a guest fails to check in on the scheduled arrival date for a confirmed reservation, a one night’s room and tax penalty will be charged, and the room will be released for sale for the remaining dates.

You may easily transfer to Philadelphia's SEPTA rail system the from within30th Street station for an easy and convenient trip to the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown.  You may take  the Regional Train on the Norristown Line to the Jefferson Street SEPTA Station which is situated below the hotel. From the train platform follow the overhead signs to the exits for Market Street and 12th Street and  take the escalators up into to the Marriott Hotel or exit the system onto Market Street and 12th Street and enter the hotel at Street Level  The SEPTA is free is you show the SEPTA Conductor your AMTRAK Ticket.

You may also transfer from 30th Street Station via the Market -Frankford Line, taking the train toward Frankford and exit the system at the 11th Street Exit.  At street level, walk 1 block to 12th and Market Streets and the hotel or follow the signs within the station to transfer to the Jefferson Street Transportation Center station.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Downtown Philadelphia is accessible by several ground transportation options including taxi, the SEPTA Regional Rail and shuttle service.

Taxi Service

Taxicabs are readily available and provide service to the Philadelphia metro area and surrounding counties. Check with your taxicab company of choice for more information on fares and destinations served. All taxis accept credit cards.

Flat Rate Charges

There is a $28.50 flat-rate charge (one-way fare, airport access fee already included) to travel from the airport to Center City Philadelphia. This area encompasses Fairmount Avenue (North), South Street (South), Delaware River (East) and University City/38th Street (West). Any destination that falls within these boundaries is eligible for the Center City flat rate.

An additional $1.00 per passenger ($3.00 maximum) after the first passenger will be charged on flat rate trips between the airport and Center City for passengers over age 12.

Metered Taxicab Rates

Fares to all other metro area destinations are based on the taxicab’s meter, which upon entry is $2.30 and $2.70 per mile or portion thereof. There is a $10 minimum fare from the Airport to any destination.

Shared Ride Van Service

There are several different shared ride van services available from Philadelphia, International Airport. Vans operate 24 hours a day on a scheduled basis, with vans departing every 15 minutes from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Rates are zone-based and typically range from $12 to $46 for the first passenger. Each additional passenger per reservation is $8 regardless of zone. Wheelchair-accessible vans are available by request. All major credit cards are accepted.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

Rail Service

The city’s public transportation authority, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) provides train service between Center City and the airport on the Airport Regional Rail Line. Trains run every 30 minutes and operate from 4:52 a.m. to 11:52 p.m. (Center City to Airport) and from 5:07 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. (Airport to Center City).

Stations on the Airport Regional Rail Line include Terminal E/F, Terminal C/D, Terminal B, Terminal A (East), Eastwick, University City, 30th Street, and three Center City stations along Market Street, which includes 30th Street, along with Suburban Station and Jefferson Station. All stations on the Airport Line are wheelchair accessible.

Connections to other SEPTA Regional Rail lines and transit routes can be made at University City, 30th Street, Suburban and Jefferson Stations.

The one-way, onboard, cash-only Regional Rail fare to Center City is $8; or $9 to any other station beyond Center City. Tell the conductor your final destination when purchasing tickets onboard.

Connections to Amtrak Northeast Corridor and Keystone Service and NJ Transit Atlantic City Rail Line can be made at the 30th Street Station.

Bus Service

The airport is also served by three SEPTA bus routes at Zone 1 of the Arrivals Road outside of baggage claim: Route 37 to/from South Philadelphia and Chester, PA; Route 108 to/from 69th Street Transportation Center; and Route 115 to/from Suburban Square in Ardmore.

The single-ride transit fare is $2.25, and transfers are available onboard buses for an additional $1.
