21st CCLC Summer Institute 2018


The 2017 Summer Institute was held July 25-27, 2017 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This year’s conference theme 21st CCLC: A Key Ingredient for Student Success—provided 21st CCLC grantees, State Coordinators, technical assistance providers, and other afterschool professionals with new knowledge and insights for how to develop, implement, and sustain successful, meaningful 21st CCLC programs. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of interactive breakout sessions with innovative new ideas for activities; technical assistance opportunities for managing programs; and data use strategies to take back to their programs.

Additionally, the plenary sessions provided updates on the state of the national 21st CCLC program as well as information on expanding learning beyond the classroom, and the 21st CCLC STEM Initiative and the Cross-Federal Agency STEM Partnership.
